Campaña de prevención contra el cáncer de mama

El cáncer de mama es el tumor maligno más frecuente entre la población femenina. Aunque se trata de un dato preocupante, la detección precoz de esta enfermedad ayuda a la mejora del pronóstico y el tratamiento, una detección asequible, basada en el autoexamen que todos podemos hacernos en casa.

Si bien es cierto que el riesgo aumenta con la edad (más del 70% de cánceres de mama se producen en mujeres mayores de 50 años) los tumores pueden aparecer a cualquier edad. Por ese motivo, es importante realizar controles periódicos.

Ten en cuenta estas recomendaciones. Realízate el autoexamen de mama y si observas algo extraño, no dudes en consultar a tu médico.
